Cathedral of the Transfiguration (Nikitsky monastery, Kashira)

Reconstruction of the Transfiguration Cathedral at the Nikitsky Convent, Kashira. Lightweight dome shell, covered with oriented-strand board (and some temporary black plastic), was lying in the yard for two years. Then, in summer 2011, it was covered with "gilded" squares of what looks like anodized (??) stainless (??) steel.
