Church of St Andrew and St Peter

The church of SS Andrew & Peter St Andrew's church is the largest in the area and it has one of the tallest towers in Norfolk; built during the 15th century on the site of an older Norman church it was extensively restored during the 19th century > 844353 - the box pews and the five-light east window date from that time, the windows contain 19th and 20th century glass. There are a few C16 bench ends > 844363 - 844370 and a restored rood screen, the panels of which depict twelve saints > 844361. The C15 octagonal font is unusual in that its panels are carved with scenes from the life of Christ > 844372 - 844374. On the walls several consecration crosses have survived > 844376.
