Former Church of St Luke

St Luke's Church, Manchester Road A62, Milnsbridge, Linthwaite has a neglected look about it, the grounds are overgrown with greenery and the roof has several sizeable holes in it. It is now privately owned and being used as a storage unit. It was altered in 1861 by the architect James Pigott Pritchett (1789-1868). Perhaps he modified the Classical simplicity of the late 18C or early 19C by adding decoration such as the wavy lines over the window recesses.
