Southern lych gate to Whitford church This is the main entrance to the church. It has an upper room formerly used for meetings which is accessible by a flight of stone steps on the west side. The plaque below the window refers to Hugh Edwards of Mertyn (d.1624), who bequeathed money towards the building of the 'porch'.
