Finally, I was happy to see the coast of Sabah loom into view! But snap, I wasn't sitting in the seat best for photographing aerial views. Instead of flying the normal south east flight path pass Papar Town, our pilot flew us north west of the town! And I got to see Kinandukan Hill; the beachside ridge near the town. I've tried to photograph Labuan Island and Kuala Penyu, but it was blocked by the plane's engine. Oh, a good chance, gone like that! You can clearly see the Papar River as it flows out to the sea. Papar looked more 'busier' the last time I saw it from the plane.
