Parish Church of St John the Baptist, Kirkheaton

St John's Church, Kirkheaton. An ancient foundation, but largely rebuilt in 1887-8. Inside there are fragments of an Anglo-Saxon cross with interlace decoration and a stone with a runic inscription. The modern gateway echoes the porch, although in a different style.
