St. Martin of Tours - Barton. C of E St. Martin of Tours is a Cof E Parish Church at the junction of Barton Hill Road and Beechfield Ave. The architect was F. Cachemaille-Day. Foundation stone laid 15 Feb 1939, and opened on 20th July 1940, but was incomplete due to the Second World War. The church was not completely finished until 1962.
