St. Mary's church, Sturmer, Essex. Sturmer lies south-east of Haverhill, on the Suffolk/Essex border. The church stands to the west of the A.1017 road, where the village lies. It was built by the Normans, then a tower was added in the 14th century and the charming south brick porch in the 16th century.
