Pennard: ruined church and castle Unusual hazards on a golf course are the remains of Pennard castle standing right on the edge of the valley, and a little distance away is this ruined mediaeval church which, like the castle and the settlement around it, was overwhelmed by wind-blown sand and was last used in 1532.
