Asbury United Methodist Church located at 926 11th Street, NW (intersection of 11th & K) in Downtown Washington, D.C. The congregation was founded in 1836 and is considered one of the most influential African-American churches in the city. The current church building, designed by architect Clarence L. Harding in 1916, is an example of Gothic Revival architecture and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
